European blackjack is played with two standard decks of 52 playing cards that are shuffled before each game.
The aim is to beat the dealer's hand by either getting a better hand, without exceeding 21, or by the dealer's hand going bust. In european blackjack, you can only bet one hand at a time.
European blackjack is when your hand contains an Ace and a card with a value of ten. It is the strongest hand in european blackjack, and automatically stands. It cannot be beaten, only matched.
In european blackjack the dealer must stand on 17.
Minimum bet: £2.00
Maximum bet: £1,000
(Or currency equivalent).
If you win with a blackjack you will be paid out at odds of 3:2 on your original bet. So if you bet 10 you would win 25. For any normal winning hand of blackjack the payout will double your bet. So, if you bet 10 you would win 20.
If you lose against a dealer's blackjack and have taken Insurance you are paid out at odds of 1 to 1.5 on your original bet. So, if you bet 10 you are paid 15.
If you and the dealer have blackjack, this is considered a push. You are paid back your original bet amount.
